The Scoliosis Research Society recently held its 49th Annual Meeting and Course at the Dena’ina Center in Anchorage, Alaska. The four-day event, which took place September 10-13, 2014, gave attendees the opportunity to network with their peers while improving their knowledge and skills at a variety of educational sessions on the latest research, treatments, and techniques related to spinal deformities.
The meeting also featured a number of prominent guest lecturers, including Jeanne Pierre Farcy, MD, a preeminent spinal surgeon and founder of the Balance Research Foundation. Outside of the diverse educational programming, meeting attendees had the opportunity to participate in social events that included receptions and tours of Anchorage’s many natural attractions.
